Neighborhood Groups
Our Democratic Party within Dallas County works in many ways to elect Democrats and build a grassroots network of volunteers to help win elections for all Democrats. Beneath our Central Committee, there are many activist-driven “neighborhood” groups who meet and work on different tasks, projects, and efforts in other areas of the county!
Perry Area Democrats
This group of Democrats makes up Iowa House District 47, which includes Bouton, Dallas Center, Linden, Minburn, and Perry. Their overreaching goals are to connect with residents on who is running for office and ensure residents have access to voting. Currently led by Monica P.
South East Dallas County Democrats
The SEDCD includes Democratic residents and voters residing in Clive, Waukee, and West Des Moines (the Waukee CSD area) This group of dedicated volunteers helps get out the vote from school board elections to President and any Democrat. They meet on a monthly basis, and Hope J. & Micki H. oversee this group.
Urbandale Area Democrats
This dedicated group of Democratic activists lives in Urbandale and areas north of Urbandale, such as Granger and Grimes within Dallas County. These Democrats work with Polk Co. Democrats and volunteers to oversee electing more Democrats at all levels of government in and around Urbandale.
The West Des Moines Democrats are dedicated to supporting progressive issues and candidates running for office in West Des Moines, Iowa. Our group meets monthly to discuss issues, meet candidates and organize our city to win elections. Membership is open to all registered Democrats in the city and we welcome you to come to one of our monthly meetings or special events.
