Get Involved with the Dallas County Democrats!
The Dallas County Democrats is an organization made up of entirely volunteer support and power. We appreciate every volunteer and are always looking for more people to get involved in our county party.
ever resident lives within a Dallas County Precinct, which is a subset geographical area within Dallas County. Each precinct is made up of voters who visit the same polling place as well as caucuses together. Being a precinct leader has many benefits to both our county party and to fellow voters!
As a leader you are a voting member of the Dallas County Central Committee which is the official committee that deals with all business matter and executes fundraisers, events, socials, candidate recruitment and more. Being a precinct leader is also the key volunteer on executing the upcoming 2020 caucuses on Monday February 3rd. This will be an important and exciting way to showcase just how far we have come in Dallas County as Democrats!
We are welcoming all Dallas County registered Democrats to join our Precinct Leadership leading up to the 2020 Caucus. We will need 3-4 volunteers and precinct leaders from each precinct.
The more people we have working and volunteering for the 2020 caucuses, the more successful and inclusive our future party will be! Your leadership and help is so very important and we want to have your voice at the decision making table!
If you are interested in joining as a Precinct Leader and Central Committee Member, please email: email@example.com or join us at our next monthly central committee meeting on the second Monday of each month!
Be a Candidate:
Have you ever thought about running for office? Within your very neighborhood and community there are countless ways to give back as an elected public servant starting within your school district!
Many roles and positions that we see on the ballot are vital to how government runs and operates as well as how we advance values and principles centered around the Democratic Party. No elected position has income, education, or gender requirements and many positions are in need of people to step up and into these positions.
What’s on the ballot in the Fall of 2019
Many of the school boards within Dallas County will have multiple openings on the ballot this Fall, the deadline to get onto the ballot is in mid August and the election is held on the first Tuesday of November. Being a school board member is not a full-time commitment, but is a vital role in local government on how our educational system operates at the local levels.
All across Dallas County we have town and city governments working to make life better for residents. This too is a vital role of local government and a great way to get involved in government without the use of politics. These positions are non-partisan in Dallas County but we are encouraging Democrats to run for city councils across Dallas County.
Your role as a Democrat on a city council is vital to advancing and protecting key issues such as clean water, smart taxation, environmental protections, protecting IPERS and workers, and much more. As a candidate for a city council position you have a network and grassroots organization to tap into right here with the Dallas County Democrats. Rather it is financial help or volunteer efforts, we want to help you run and win!
